After Xiaomi posted a teaser image of its refreshed second-gen Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro appeared on Weibo, it contains nothing more than two vertical strips with ‘S’ logo inscribed in the middle. Today, the first-ever live images of the upcoming gaming-oriented smartphone have appeared on the web and it is enticing.
The live image is of the rear panel of Black Shark 2 Pro that shows two vertical strips on emanating from top edge to bottom forming a thick glass hour design with a stripe in the middle with the ‘S’ logo embossed in between. There’s a green-colored LED emanating from the two strips as well to highlight the blacked-out middle stripe although if the logo has RGB LED or not is a mystery at the moment. Although the overall design of Black Shark 2 Pro is similar to its non-Pro variant, Xiaomi has used more glass to widen the stripes at the back with dual camera setup and an LED flash housed below the sensors.
Black Shark 2 Pro appeared on AnTuTu as well scoring a whopping 405,598 points which is higher than the 367,354 points scored by Black Shark 2 although the key difference is that the non-Pro variant houses a Snapdragon 855 processor while the upcoming Black Shark 2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus. The new chipset from Qualcomm is an overclocked variant with 4% more powerful prime Kryo core along with 15% powerful GPU in use which is coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage in this Pro variant.
A few days ago, Geekbench scores for Black Shark 2 Pro appeared with chipset “msmnile” which stated that the device scored 11,304 points in multi-core test which is exorbitant as well. All the details will be concretized when Xiaomi will release the Black Shark 2 Pro on July 30 but be assured as we will get plenty of information before the day comes so stay tuned.
