If you are clung to the Mi 11 series but don’t have the budget to buy the extrinsic flagship devices, check out Mi 11 Lite. Available in both 4G and 5G variants, Mi 11 Lite is the much-needed mid-ranger available at your disposal. Its 5G variant packs in Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 780G chipset while the 4G variant has picked up Snapdragon 732G chipset on-board.
The Xiaomi Mi Lite looks almost like Mi 11 although with slight cosmetic and a lot of specs changes on-board. Its 5G variant aka Mi 11 Lite 5G is Xiaomi’s most affordable 5G smartphone available on a global market.
Talking about both the devices i.e. 4G and 5G, both aren’t that different except the chipset under the hood. Both the variants have a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner. As you might have guessed, the display is flat and has considerable bezels around the edges which justify its price tag for sure.
Anyways, the display has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate which is an upgrade over the usual 60Hz mid-rangers available in the market. The display has a 10-bit color depth capable of showcasing 1B colors which are far greater than an 8-bit color depth display. Xiaomi hasn’t embedded an under-the-display fingerprint scanner with either of the Mi Lite 4G/5G devices. Instead, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner just like Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G.
Talking about the powertrain, the Mi 11 Lite 5G offers a Snapdragon 780G processor that offers cores clocked at a whopping 2.4GHz with flagship-level connectivity that renders performance in-between SD855 and SD865. The GPU on-board is an Adreno 642 that handles all the graphics processing on the device.
Next up, the device already has MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out-of-the-box. This means that the device will get a few MIUI and major Android OS upgrades over the next 2-3 years based on the software upgrade policy.
The device packs in a 16MP selfie shooter while the rear has a giant squaricle camera bump housing a triple camera setup. It includes a primary 64MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture and 1/1.97-inch sensor size; an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with f/2.2 aperture and a 1/4″ sensors size and finally, there’s a 5MP macro sensor capable of shooting objects with autofocus between 3 to 7 cm of distance.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite gets its power from a large 4,250 mAh battery supplied with 33W fast charging tech that should charge the battery within an hour. It uses a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. You get a bottom-firing loudspeaker along with a front-firing speaker that combinedly produces a stereo speaker setup which is a major plus.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G is available in three major colors i.e. Blue, Pink, and Black. You can choose from three storage configurations i.e. 6/64GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB starting at a price tag of €299. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is available in 128GB of storage with either 6GB or 8GB RAM starting at €369. The pricing for the top tier is not available.
The availability and other details for both the 4G and 5G variants will be available soon.
