Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is about to unveil a much-awaited high-end specification smartphone series called Pocophone who’s the first smartphone has been named F1. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is slated to release in India on August 22 but just a few days ahead of its official launch, the Pocophone F1 has appeared on Geekbench with an 8GB RAM variant implying that the rumors of two variants of F1 i.e. 128GB/6GB RAM and 256GB/8GB RAM were true after all.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Pocophone F1 8GB RAM variant has a single-core score of 2451 and multi-core score of 8998 which is in line with HTC U12+, OnePlus 6, Xiaomi Mi 8, and other in the same segment. F1 sports a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.77 GHz (Geekbench) and a higher frequency of 2.58 GHz (GSMArena) alongside massive 8GB RAM and a 256GB internal storage.
On the contrary, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 with 6GB RAM has a 128GB internal storage. Both the variants will have Android 8.1 Oreo with the skin of MIUI 9.0 and might receive an Android 9.0 Pie update too in the future. Both the variants have infrared face recognition, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Quick Charge 3.0 but Xiaomi could roll out a Quick Charge 4.0 version for Indian markets, something which it has done previously too.
A previous video leak suggested that Pocophone F1 will sport rear dual-camera setup with 12+5MP depth sensor with 1.4micrometer pixel size, 4-axis OIS, and dual pixel PDAF embedded with the primary sensor. The smartphone will have a 20MP front sensor with 0.9micrometer pixel size and an aperture of f/2.0. The device will be powered by a non-removable Li-Po 4,000 mAh battery which in capacity than OnePlus 6’ 3,300 mAh battery. It is estimated to cost around 400 EUR in international markets and will be available in Blue and Black other. We will have to wait till August 22 for the official price and photos.
