Xiaomi Redmi 9 is one of the expansive budget-friendly series from Xiaomi. Cut to now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is working towards Xiaomi Redmi 10 and some details about the vanilla Redmi 10 have appeared online after a retailer in Singapore posted a listing about the unreleased smartphone. Specifications and renders have appeared online.
Talking about the device, Xiaomi Redmi 10 will see a huge change in terms of design and specs. The Redmi 10 looks more like Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra or Poco X3 GT for perspective.
The phone has dimensions of 162×75.3×8.95mm along with a huge rear camera module that sees a triple rear camera (a bunch of dummy lenses) and a LED flash inside a huge rectangular-shaped camera bump. It houses a 50MP primary sensor as the listing suggests along with an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP auxiliary sensor. It is likely that the rear has two 2MP sensors instead and could be termed as a quad-camera setup. Finally, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter on-board.
Next up, the device is likely powered by the recently announced MediaTek Helio G88 SoC tied in a budget-friendly smartphone. The chipset arrives with a max frequency of 32.0GHz. It will have up to 6GB and 128GB of storage configurations (pricing is listed below).
The device brings a giant 6.5-inch LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution. The display boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. It has thick bezels as evident by the renders which go in line with its budget-friendly price tag.
The device runs on Android 11 powered MIUI 12 (or V12.5) out-of-the-box. It has a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging tech. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, among others.
Talking about the price tag that the upcoming Redmi 10 will arrive at, a listing suggested that the 6GB+128GB variant will be up on sale at SGB249 or $183. It will be available in three color variants i.e. Sea Blue, Pebble White, and Carbon Grey. Note that it is highly likely that the price mentioned above could be a placeholder instead of an actual price so the price tag on Redmi 10 could change.
