Xiaomi has added a new device under its Redmi lineup i.e. Redmi K30S. It is a rebranded Xiaomi Mi 10T and it is available in its home country China at a price tag of $390 which is a cheap deal when compared to Mi 10T’s $499 price tag.

Xiaomi Redmi K30S was made official on October 27 sporting a huge 6.67-inch I{S LCD panel with 1080×2400 pixels resolution, 395 PPI, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The display has a 144Hz refresh rate along with HDR10, 650 nits of peak brightness among others. The fingerprint scanner has slid to the side as the display is LCD. A tiny pinch-hole on the top-left corner gives you a 20MP primary shooter capable of shooting videos at 1080p@30fps.

It sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset clocked at a massive 2.84GHz max frequency and comes with an Adreno 650 GPU. Xiaomi did make some changes to differentiate between Redmi K30S and Mi 10T such as the RAM is at 8GB while the users can choose between 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. There’s no memory card slot available. The storage is UFS 3.1 which is currently the fastest.

The rear camera setup on Redmi K30S is not much different from Mi 10T. The camera setup is capable of shooting videos at 8K@24/30fps and you can yank it to 960fps at 1080p resolution with gyro-EIS.

Under the hood, the device is affixed with a 5,000 mAh Li-Po battery with 33W fast charging tech, a Quick Charge 4+, and Power Delivery 3.0 on-board. It also supports NavIC along with BDS, Glonass, QZSS, Galileo, Glonass, and A-GPS dual-band GPS systems.

Talking about the pricing, the phone is available in two colorways i.e. Silver and Black available at CNY 2,599 ($390) and CNY 2,799 ($415) for 128GB+8GB and 256GB+8GB of storage configurations respectively. The phone is scheduled for its first sale on November 11 in China which is celebrated as Singles’ Day in the country. It will be up for reservations and pre-orders four days from now.
