For all Xiaomi fans out there, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi finally unveiled the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in India on February 28. Xiaomi produced the standard Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in India where the latter was supposed to be a lot popular than the former, however, sales statistics have something else to say.

Turns out that Xiaomi produced more than 200,000 units of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7/Pro which is the successor to Note 6 as evident by the nomenclature. Although it did manufacture 200,000 units, it took only a few minutes for the lot to clear after the phone was listed for sale on Flipkart on March 6 where it went out of stock in a couple of minutes.

Redmi Note 7 suddenly became a hot-selling piece even though the Note 7 Pro sports a magnanimous 48MP camera, Xiaomi fans took over their love for the brand by upgrading and buying out the standard variant.

As per Manu Jain who is Xiaomi India’s head, the smartphone maker will instruct its factories to produce even larger quantities of Note 7 for its upcoming second March 13 sale on Flipkart and Xiaomi website.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 sports a giant 6.3-inch FHD+ display with dot notch which is its term to specify a waterdrop-shaped notch housing a single 13MP selfie camera. The device comes with a Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 512 GPU coupled with 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants that are available in India. The device boasts a 12+2MP dual rear camera setup while the larger Redmi Note 7 Pro got a 48MP sensor that uses Super Pixel technology to create stunning images at 12MP as well.

Finally, the device hosts a beefy 4,000 mAh battery which is slightly less than the one mounted on Samsung Galaxy S10+ and has a Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging capability but no wireless charging. Missed your chance to buy it on March 06? Xiaomi and Flipkart have announced another sale coming March 13 to go to Flipkart and tap on ‘Notify Me’ under Xiaomi Redmi Note 7/Pro to stay updated when it arrives.
