The Chinese smartphone maker today posted a teaser image on its Twitter account indicating the launch of its flagship smartphone Mi MIX 2S. The company has officially confirmed to announce the phone on March 27, against speculated announcement at the MWC 2018, along with the processor that the phone will feature. Xiaomi was earlier rumoured to announce the Mi 7 at the event in Barcelona, but it reportedly scrapped the plans.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ teaser image mentions an AnTuTu score of 273,741 points using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor onboard. A similar AnTuTu listing had also leaked earlier this month for a Xiaomi device codenamed Polaris, which was, in fact, believed to be the Mi MIX 2S. The phone also boasted the Snapdragon 845 processor and scored 270,461 in the benchmark test.
Previous iterations of the Mi MIX-series had no bezel above the display, while it was present in the bottom portion to house the front-facing camera and other sensors. As per Mi MIX 2S’ recent leaks, the phone will have no bezels all around the display, but it will have a small cut-out in the top right corner to hold the camera. Some other reports have suggested an iPhone X-like notch on the top for placing all the required sensors. The confusion will be cleared when the phone is announced on March 27.

Besides having the Snapdragon 845 processor, the phone is expected to come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, perhaps for different variants. Dual cameras on the back may also be a part of the package this time along with a 3,400mAh battery. A hands-on video of the phone had leaked last week with the phone being navigated using gestures inspired by the iPhone X.
