A new set of rumors have flown in from people who happen to have seen the three upcoming iPhones scheduled to launch this September. According to the rumors, all three smartphones will be direct successors to last year’s iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR and will feature the same screen technologies. To shed light on this rumor, iPhone XR2 as it has been coined will get a 2x Liquid Retina display while the high-end iPhone 11 or XI and the Max model iPhone XI Max or whatever Apple deems fit to call it, will get the OLED display as last year.
Apple is speculated to move to an AMOLED display for its cheaper XR lineup only in 2020 when the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to roll out a few mind-blowing and high-end features that were rumored previously.
Anyways, apart from the screen technologies, the upcoming 2019 iPhones will maintain the Lightning Port for at least one year now instead of opting for a USB Type-C port that iPad Pro recently got, however, we don’t know if Apple decides to change it next year or what.
Other pieces of information include the latest Apple A13 SoC which goes by the codename Cebu and it will make it to the 2019 iPhones. Per a rumor, since iOS 13 supports Haptic Touch and the new iPhones will have revamped Taptic Engine, it is simply imminent that the 3D Touch will go and it will be replaced by Haptic Touch as previously believed.
Apple is opting for a squaricle camera setup for all of its 2019 iPhones where iPhone XR2 will get a new sensor (probably a telescopic sensor) while other two OLED models will get a triple camera setup with a telephoto lens, normal wide-angle lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens that will make up its triple camera setup followed by a single front-camera module stuffed within an iPhone X-like notch which is here to stay at least for this year’s release.
Apple usually holds its launch event in September every year and thus, it is not rocket science that it will release the three handsets along with iOS 13’s official roll out a few weeks later in September.
