Earlier this month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a report claiming that Apple’s upcoming 6.1” LCD iPhone will be released in a slew of color variants. However, a recently released reported from analyst Macotakara who sourced the information from Apple’s supply chain claimed a new list of color variants in which, the cheapest iPhone by Apple’s standards, will be unveiled this fall. The contradiction in the color variants claimed by both these trusted reports has created some disputes.

To simply it, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will reportedly unveil its 6.1” LCD iPhone in different colors that are Grey, Gold, Orange, Red, Blue, and White. On the contrary, Macotakara’ report suggests that Apple will unveil the upcoming iPhone model in Black, Electric Blue, Taupe, White, Bright Orange and Flas Yellow based on the 2017 iPhone X leather case lineup.

When both these reports are compared, it shows that only Orange, Blue, and White match up in both the reports leaving other colors to question. However, it is said that Apple might unveil the ‘Red’ variant for 6.1” LCD iPhone later on to support its campaign on HIV and AIDS. The red variant usually launches at a later than slot other color variants as it was seen in iPhone 8.

This year, Apple will roll out three new iPhone models coming fall. The lineup includes a successor to 2017 iPhone X, a large OLED iPhone and a 6.1” LCD iPhone where the later will follow the price tag around $700 thereby being the cheapest in the three models since the former two will have price tags over $900. Apple might launch its new iPhone X (2018) in a Gold color variant, something which Apple wanted to do with 2017 iPhone X as well but couldn’t go through due to certain reasons. A recent update has quoted that Apple might delay the launch for 6.1” LCD iPhone in question because of delays in mass production. Well, it’s just the matter of time until Apple announces the release date for this fall’ launch.
