Samsung is all set to launch its next-gen Samsung Galaxy S23 series sometime early next year. Well, to put a date, a South Korean publication reported that Samsung will be holding an Unpacked 2023 event sometime in the first week of February. The piece of information comes from a Samsung executive as per the report although take it with a pinch of salt.

According to the report, the Unpacked 2023 event, which is where Samsung launches its flagship S-series of devices, is set to take place in the first week of February in San Francisco. It will be the first Unpacked event after the pandemic came into action two years ago.

Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S23 series globally in February. It will consist of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra. It was earlier reported that Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be launching at the CES 2023 in January, however, the recent report suggests otherwise.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ made it to FCC earlier on Monday with model numbers SM-S911B and SM-916B sporting 3,900mAh and 4,700mAh battery packs respectively.

As usual, there’s not much of a difference between the vanilla and Plus variants except the larger screens. As GSMArena puts it, the vanilla S23 will have a 6.4” 1080p 120Hz panel while the S23+ will get a 6.6” 1080p 120Hz panel onboard.

Both the devices are likely powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. For those uninitiated, Samsung has dropped the use of Exynos chipsets in favour of much better Snapdragon flagship chipsets and that’s where the SD8 Gen 2 comes into play.

There’s a 32MP selfie; a 50MP primary, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP 3x telephoto snapper at the rear on both variants. The trio will get a third-generation ultrasonic fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm among other technologies. You can check out this space to know more about the trio and their launch coverages.
