OPPO India has announced a partnership with Instagram to launch the OPPO LUMO Creator Program, a new initiative aimed at supporting content creators across India. The program is designed to help visual storytellers improve their skills, increase their visibility, and access new growth opportunities.

Better video quality for Instagram uploads

A key part of the partnership is a technical integration that improves video-sharing quality on Instagram.

The optimization is intended to reduce the compression that often occurs when videos are uploaded to social media platforms. As a result, creators can retain more of the original clarity, color accuracy, and dynamic range of their content when sharing it on Instagram.

A platform for creativity and Growth

The OPPO LUMO Creator Program is structured as an ongoing initiative that gives creators opportunities to show their work while developing their storytelling skills. The program officially began on May 29, 2026, and creators can participate by submitting content on Instagram using designated monthly hashtags.

Learning opportunities for participants

Beyond content creation challenges, the program will also provide educational support. Participants will have access to masterclasses and mentorship sessions led by industry professionals.

These sessions are designed to help creators gain practical knowledge about content production, storytelling techniques, audience engagement, and career growth in the digital content industry.

Recognition and international visibility

The program also offers recognition for outstanding creators. Winners will receive an official Meta × OPPO certification.

In addition, selected entries will be featured in a global showcase. This will give creators an opportunity to present their work to international audiences and achieve broader exposure beyond the Indian market.

How creators will be evaluated

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts. According to OPPO, entries will be reviewed based on factors such as creativity, originality, cultural relevance, and engagement.

Creators who perform well in the competition will be recognized through Gold, Silver, and Bronze award categories. Winners will receive monetary rewards along with the latest OPPO smartphones and products from the company’s IoT ecosystem.

Industry leaders join the OPPO LUMO Creator Program

As part of the program, OPPO is introducing a roundtable vodcast focused on trends and opportunities within the creator economy. The series will feature discussions on challenges faced by creators, emerging digital trends, and strategies for audience growth.

The panel includes industry leaders and creators such as Ankit Rihal, Head of Global Partnership at Meta; Simon Liu, Global Imaging Director at OPPO; Vikram Channa, Vice President of Warner Bros. Discovery Group; celebrity photographer Joseph Radhik; travel creator Tanya Khanijow; and comedian and content creator Kenny Sebastian.

The first episode arrives on June 5

OPPO India has confirmed that the first episode of the vodcast will be released on June 5, 2026, through its official YouTube channel. The company says the series will provide valuable insights and practical guidance for creators looking to grow in the competitive digital content space.
