The fourth-gen Google Pixel 4 is expected to arrive in October this year although the date hasn’t been finalized yet. Since the phone is near release, the frequency of rumors about it has increased exponentially and this is what appears to be live images of Google Pixel 4 in action.
Tweeted by tipster Mishal Rahman who wasn’t able to confirm the source, the image shows what we assume is a Google Pixel 4 in a protective case and since it goes in-line with the previous rumors about square-shaped camera setup.
A close look at the image from both the front and rear does show plenty of details. The front has slightly slimmer chin compared to Pixel 3 although the notch is still there, assuming that the user has hidden the notch. A front camera is visible along with speaker grille and faded spot alongside the selfie camera which could be just a spot since the front panel has a protective film or it could be the rumored radar module that will allow Pixel 4 users with radar-based facial recognition and gesture navigation system under Project Soli.
The device is probably running on Android 10 citing the upgrade navigation bar at the bottom which looks brilliant without any doubt.
At the back, we see a square camera bump on the top-left corner when viewed from the backside. Pixel 4 will probably have a dual-camera setup arranged side-by-side horizontally while a dual-LED flash is placed just below and at the center of these two sensors probably with a 12MP primary wide-angle and 16MP telephoto shooter as per a few reports. Anyways, the camera is tapped either to protect it from any smudges or scratches or it could be to prevent the design from being filmed.
Google seems to have become bored of a dual-tone rear panel but perhaps there is a glass panel at the back which looks premium as every flagship smartphone has it now. Lastly, the Power button on the right side is white which is a zing that Pixel 3a and 3a XL had too and it looks flamboyant as well.
Overall, Google Pixel 4 does look and feel a bit premium than its predecessors but we will have to wait until the 2019 Pixels is launch. Don’t worry as we will keep you informed about any progress, leaks, rumors, and more about upcoming Pixels.
