LG was the first major brand to come out with a phone with extremely thin bezels in the form of LG G6. Taking it a step further, the company today announced the much awaited and rumoured LG V30 smartphone with even thinner bezels and dual cameras. And it comes powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor.

The phone’s look from the front is similar to the LG G6 launched earlier this year. But the LG V30 sports thinner top and bottom bezels, giving an extreme screen-to-body ratio. LG has used a larger 6-inch FullVision 18:9 OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440. Thanks to the reduced bezels on all sides, the phone is 8mm shorter and 3mm narrower than the V20.

Another thing grabs eyeballs is the dual-camera setup on the back with one of them being 16MP while the other is 13MP. The best part about the camera is that it has an aperture of f/1.6, which is a first for any smartphone. LG has made use of a glass lens instead of a plastic one for better colours in the images.

With the V30, LG wants to bring the best audio experience for its users as the phone includes 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The buyers will get earphones from B&O Play right inside the box and the phone also supports Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) for high-quality audio streaming.

If you have a lot of LG appliances at your home then the LG V30 can prove to be quite beneficial. The phone can interact with your smart LG appliances, including washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, air conditioners, etc. This was made possible using deep integrations with Google Assistant.

Despite its large screen, the phone weighs just 158 grams and is 7.3mm thick. It comes running Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box along with the support for Daydream VR. Android Oreo is expected to roll out soon, starting from the LG flagships. The LG V30 is dust and water resistant and has an IP68 rating. You will get a fingerprint scanner on the back and the phones does support wireless charging.

As far as standard specifications are concerned, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, a first for LG, and has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The standard internal memory is of 64GB which can be expanded further via microSD card. The battery size of the phone is 3300mAh and you’ll get Wi-Fi with ac standard, Bluetooth 5.0 along with USB Type-C 2.0 port. It will be available in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet colours.
