LG and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have been good acquaintances ever since the LG V10. The company in the past years has partnered with the actor/filmmaker and his production organization, HITRECORD, to promote its flagships, especially in the audio and camera department. They’ve continued it this year as well with the upcoming LG V30. On the midst of doing so, a bunch of photos and videos of the V30 has been leaked on HitRecord. While the project has already been pulled off from the website, we’ve at least managed to grab a couple of screenshots from the videos. The screenshots show the phone from almost every angle and a few photo/video samples from the phone.
The screenshots we’ve attached here clearly show the phone from all sides. Although the video itself isn’t that crispy, we can still grab a few details from it. The front looks almost the same as of the LG G6 with the same 2:1 aspect ratio (has been confirmed to be P-OLED) except the sides look just a bit curved. Flipping it to the other side, we have the usual LG look with a dual camera lens, a laser sensor, and a fingerprint scanner. It also seems like LG might be having different colors for the back while maintaining uniform black panel for the front.
We also got to see a few photo samples from the phone, from both front and rear facing cameras. The photos look quite clear and well-exposed just like what we’d expect from any flagship phone today. The V-series have always aced the video department so it’s not that surprising to see a few stabilized and detailed clips from the phone.
Just like how multiple sources reported the removal of the signature secondary ticker, the video clearly confirms it. They will, however, implement a software-based “floating bar” for notifications and app shortcuts. We’re not quite sure how this will be implemented but seems like a neat feature.
I personally like the design. The shiny glass back along with thin bezels makes it quite the looker. What are your thoughts on the new design?
