OnePlus is all set to take the wraps off its Nord 2. The company has recently confirmed that the new mid-ranger will arrive on July 22. While OnePlus fans are eagerly waiting to see what the company is hiding under its sleeve with the Nord 2, Poco made an uninvited entry into the story wherein it tries to put emphasis on its upcoming Poco F3 GT. The F3 GT, as one would expect, will take on the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2.

While trolling is not commonly seen in the industry, especially before the launch of the devices, who doesn’t love to see a big brand taking a jab on another one? Poco played it really smart here. As mentioned earlier, the Poco F3 GT will be launched soon in the Indian market and now with the recent tweet, Poco hints that the F3 GT will be better than the OnePlus Nord 2. In the tweet, Poco stated that Poco F3 GT is “not your N-ordinary phone.” This is a clear hint that the company is trolling Nord 2. Not just that Poco took it to next level by taking Nord 2’s promotional ad that reads “pretty much everything you could ask for” and turned it into “pretty much everything you could ask for and a lot lot more.”

Things seem a bit tough for OnePlus India, at least on social media. For those unaware, OnePlus self-trolled (kind of) by tweeting “The enhanced #SPen is my weapon of choice” along with a video of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with an SPen. OnePlus India realized the mistake pretty soon and deleted the tweet, however, the damage has already been done. Now, with this whole Poco taking a jab at OnePlus, it seems like there is too much on OnePlus’ plate. OnePlus is yet to reply or get back to Poco. But, taking a look at OnePlus’ Twitter handle, seems like they’d rather focus on promoting the Nord 2.

Also, “pretty and lot lot more” seems a bit weird considering the OnePlus didn’t even reveal the phone yet. Not just that, Poco sounds very confident claiming that their F3 GT is better than Nord 2 in many ways. I mean, how can they even say that without even knowing the entirety of the Nord 2? Sure, Poco F3 GT gets dedicated pop-up shoulder keys, LED lighting, 120Hz display refresh rate, and 67W fast charging, but still is not a fair comparison given the Nord 2 is not announced yet!

That said, Poco F3 GT is not entirely a new device. Poco being Poco, it has rebranded the Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Edition to launch it as F3 GT in India. This comes as no surprise considering 90% of Poco phones are essentially Redmi smartphones with a little bit of different skin. That said, both the devices use MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipsets. But, it is worth noting that OnePlus has confirmed using a tweaked Dimensity 1200-AI SoC on the Nord 2 whereas the Poco F3 GT will use the standard version of the SoC.

Clearly, this is not the first time Poco taking a jab at the competition. Last year, Poco trolled Realme for launching a device with 5G support as the country does not need it at that time. The tweet reads “Now that we have your attention. Just letting you know – we’re here to give you everything you need, nothing you don’t.” Poco also called Realme X3 SuperZoom creepy for offering 60x zoom. The company has also trolled OnePlus 6T comparing it with Poco F1 saying “Do the Math”. I guess we will have to wait a bit longer to see if the Poco F3 GT is better than OnePlus Nord 2.
