The upcoming Nubia Red magic 5G game phone is taking shape thanks to the ongoing specs sheet leaks and official teasers from Nubia itself where it has already disclosed a few key specs. The latest to add in the row of official specs is that the upcoming 5G gaming phone from Nubia will sport the new generation LPDDR5 RAM technology which is way faster than the LPDDR4X technology used in flagship smartphones till date.

Although we already knew that the new RAM technology will make it to the upcoming smartphone, it is rather a pleasant and exciting surprise from Nubia that all the variants of Nubia Red Magic 5G phone will have the same tech right from the base model to uppermost variant maxing at 16GB of RAM.

Apparently, the specs were confirmed by none other than brand’s CEO Ni Fei who posted on Weibo with an image stating that the entire lineup under Nubia Red Magic 5G will have LPDDR5 RAM. Moreover, the base model will have 8GB of RAM while there’s a 12GB and finally, the most intriguing 16GB RAM variant as well. When compared to the LPDDR4X RAM, the newly developed LPDDR5 technology is 50% faster and offers transfer speeds of up to 6,400 Mbps.

The image that came along with the Weibo post suggests that the red devils as the Nubia smartphones are called will be equipped with the new RAM technology manufactured by Samsung that was introduced first in July 2018 and underwent a mass production last year in July.

Apart from the extrinsic RAM technology and storage, the upcoming 5G phone will have a huge 6.65-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This will probably put phones with 120Hz to shame for sure. The device will be propelled by the powerhouse Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and will be powered by a huge 4,500 mAh battery along with a 55W fast charging speed that will be supplied with the phone.

Since the phone is gaming-centric, it will also have a low latency wireless cast and a physical fan flanked with liquid cooling technology to keep the overall temperature down. Lastly, we do know that the phone will have a triple camera setup at the back with the primary being a Sony IMX686 64MP sensor that was latest seen with POCO X2 as well.

There is no specific pricing available for the upcoming Red Magic 5G game phone and neither there’s any date so we will have to wait to know when the beast will arrive.
