We knew that the Coronavirus pandemic would lead to delay of some sort in the tech industry, among others, and now we have seen the same. First of all, the Apple product launch dates got delayed and now the company has also informed everyone that the iPhones will be released “a few weeks later” than normal this year. However, we did not know the exact dates of when the phones will be released this year and we did not expect the company to reveal that.
Normally, Apple releases its new iPhones in September-end while they are announced in the first or second week of September. This year, we expect a delay of 2 weeks to a month in the announcement and launch date of the iPhone 12 series. But we have been saved from all the speculation as Jon Prosser, often reliable for his Apple leaks, has revealed his possible dates for the iPhone 12 series launch. According to Prosser, the iPhone 12 event will be held in the first half of October and he believes the exact launch date will be October 12.
New, adjusted Apple dates!

Interestingly, the leak does mention that iPhone 12 Pro devices will be delayed even more and their availability will be in November whereas the iPhone 12 devices will be available in October. He also mentions that the latest iPad and Apple Watch will arrive before the iPhone 12 series this year. There will not be any event for the same and it will be revealed by a press release only.
While we do believe that Jon Prosser’s leaks are mostly accurate, it is worth noting that Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has shown a “thumbs down” on this post. It clearly means that he does not agree with the dates leaked so we will wait as to how things pan out in the coming weeks.
