Almost right to the schedule, HTC’s Mo Versi announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update for AT&T branded HTC One M8’s finally passed the technical approval and it will begin heading out to the handsets today.

I am saying finally because the update for the AT&T branded HTC One M7’s started at the end of March, leaving the newer HTC One M8 behind on the schedule of the older HTC One M7. Other US carriers started pushing out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to their HTC One M8 smartphones more than a month ago, perhaps AT&T had trouble with the update. But we finally can say that it’s here now.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update includes all of the features we’ve seen in other One M8 lollipop upgrades, including the Material Design Sense 6 user interface, the new multitasking layout, notifications and some extra security features.

Make sure that you keep a close eye at your navigation bar for a OTA notification, of if you want to have it as soon as it is pushed to your device you can spam the check for updates button in the settings menu-about device-software update.
