Players Unknown BattleGround (PUBG) rejuvenated the battle royale genre thanks to its uber-popular success that surpassed 200 million a few months ago. Thanks to its elite and immersive gameplay, a load of maps and characters to choose, an impressive game mode and others made it a popular game among PCs and Mobile. The game took inspirations from a number of mods and games including Arma II and H1Z1 among others. However, playing the game might not always be a smooth experience as the game requires high graphics and other requirements which means, it discourages interested players from playing the game with their machines lagging behind the basic requirements.

But hey, the official Facebook page for PUBG posted on its official handle that it will be launching a PUBG Lite variant on PC in India by June this year. According to Bluehole, the company behind PUBG (PC), it has already launched the lite version first introduced back in January 2019 and it has been available in 15 countries and mostly in the Asian continent and it appears as the company is looking forward to launching the lite version in India as well.

Business Today adds that the minimum requirement to play the PC game is Core i3 at a 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, and at least 4GB of storage. On the other hand, it requires Intel HD Graphics 4000 while an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD7870 could enable smoother gameplay as well.

But PUBG is planning to launch the Lite version in India which will be basically a watered-down version of the current PC game while it will be free to play and will have much lesser graphics, storage, and processing requirements.

PUBG Lite was introduced early this year in Thailand followed by Turkey and Brazel and other countries around the globe. Post that, Bluehole is preparing to roll out PUBG Lite in India for PC gamers in June 2019 and since the company hasn’t pointed out the date yet, a rumor suggests that it could be on June 25 when the Steam will open up for sales.

Well, PUBG Mobile Lite is also a thing in the making and could release in India this year as well although we don’t really know the specific date of launch as of now.
