Samsung, as we know, announced its first foldable smartphone at CES 2019. Along with that, Huawei also announced its first foldable 5G phone which is the Mate X. However, Samsung became the first company to announce a launch date for its Galaxy Fold. For this, Samsung sent its Galaxy Fold to reviewers in the US for getting early impressions and feedback. However, this turned out to be troublesome for Samsung as the devices started to break.

Some reviewers reported that their Galaxy Fold screens started to flicker and malfunction when they removed a protective layer on the top. Apparently, they thought it was just a screen protector but it was meant to protect the display of Galaxy Fold. But it must also be said that others noted that they had not removed that protective layer. Even then, their Galaxy Fold units started to break. This made Samsung investigate into the matter.

Samsung, as of yet, has not revealed what caused the Galaxy Fold screens to misfunction. However, some users claim that the gap between Galaxy Fold’s screen and hinge allowed dust particles to get inside and made the display to flicker. Now, we have some positive news to share with you if you are a fan of Galaxy Fold.

Samsung has reportedly fixed the issues of its Galaxy Fold. In an interview, Samsung CEO DJ Koh claims that Samsung has “reviewed the defect caused by substances, and we will reach a conclusion in a couple of days”. This means Samsung is determined to launch its $1980 Galaxy Fold.

However, Samsung’s official spokesperson said that “We plan to announce the release date in the coming weeks,”. On the other hand, US’ AT&T claimed that the Galaxy Fold is launching on June 13. This launch date may turn out to be true as it is still more than a month away from now. What we do know is that the Galaxy Fold will release soon as DJ Koh also said that Galaxy Fold’s launch “will not be too late,”
