In 2016, Samsung launched their very first On series smartphone which goes by the name Galaxy On8. Apart from that, the brand started a contract with Flipkart making it exclusively available on the e-commerce platform. With the success of Galaxy On8, the brand today announced another smartphone joining the On family. Samsung Galaxy On6 is more on the budget segment side offering you Infinity display at this price. Infinity display is basically a 15 percent more display area without increasing the overall size of the phone.
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy On6 in terms of design is almost the same as the Galaxy J6 from the front as well as from the back. The placement of LED flash and the camera is similar to the Galaxy J6. The phone comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio 18.5:9 and the Samsung’s trademark the AMOLED display the best in the market, they even supply these display to smartphone making giant Apple.
Specifications
The Galaxy On6 is a counterpart of the Galaxy J6 as this phone also comes with the same processor octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset allied with Mali T830 MP1 GPU and 4 Gb of RAM. The phone has an onboard storage of 32 GB with an expandable memory card slot up to 256GB with the optional dual sim support. The phone is powered by 3000 mAh battery and boots with the latest version of Android Oreo.
On the camera side, the device comes with the 13MP rear shooter with an aperture of f/1.9 and equipped with a LED flash, the front shooter has an 8MP camera with an aperture f/1.9 and a selfie flash. The budget phone’s front camera also supports face unlock feature this time chasing the trend. The smartphone making company doesn’t decide to drop the 3.5mm headphone jack, that is quite good news for most of the people.
Out of the Box Features
Samsung has tried to do something new this time and add a new feature to the phone called ‘chat over video’. The feature lets the user chat with their contacts while watching a video, a translucent chat screen will pop up where the user can chat and watch the video as well. This a minor but a useful feature for the multitasking people or even if you are not a multitasker, as chatting with people had become a necessity for the people since these days chatting apps have become so popular.
The phone will have pre-installed ‘My Galaxy Video’ app with aggregated and curated video content from the popular content providers, the phone also comes Samsung pay mini for trouble-free payments.
Samsung Galaxy On6: Price and Launch Date
Price of Samsung Galaxy J6 was Rupees 13,990 while the pricing of the On7 will set a damage of Rupees 14,990 for your pockets. With the one thousand rupees, extra you will get a 64 GB of internal memory and 1 GB of extra ram than the Galaxy J6. The smartphone will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart on July 5, two colors will be available black and blue.
