Google Pixel 9a is undeniably right around the corner given its mid-March debut. We just got a hit on Google Pixel 9a price leaks that tells a story much like any other popular once-affordable series. Get ready to shell a bit more when you buy more storage as Pixel 9a prices are ready to soar once it arrives. Here’s the latest update.
Google Pixel 9a Price Leaks Suggests Expensive Price Tags
According to the folks at Android Headlines, Google Pixel 9a will be available in both 128GB and 256GB configurations, as usual. The base variant is pegged at $499 in the US and probably the same $679 in Canada based on the weaker Canadian dollar. The magic begins with the top 256GB variant at $599 or in other words, $100 more than the 128GB variant.
Apparently, this new pricing is also $40 more expensive than last year’s Pixel 8a’s 256GB model which is what got us curious. What it means is, you will have to shell more for the higher 256GB variant even though the cost delta that Google pays for higher storage is exceptionally low.
How come this sudden uptick in pricing, you may ask? Apparently, Pixel 9a follows the same pricing structure as the Pixel 9 family. The vanilla Google Pixel 9 opted for a $100 increase in pricing when you switch from a 128GB to a 256GB variant. It’s completely understandable that Google is simply trying to grab more of the cash flow and thus, the hiked pricing.
Google Pixel 9a Will Bring a 5,100mAh Battery

For starters, it will bring on-board a 5,100mAh battery giving you unconditional backup for more than a day.
