Realme announces Realme 7 5G in Europe with 120Hz LCD display, Dimensity 800U 5G

Realme just added a new smartphone to its smartphone family. The Realme 7 5G was just announced powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset. The smartphone is a rebranded version of the Chinese Realme V5. The phone was unveiled at a virtual event in the UK. Realme did upgrade the Realme 7 5G in terms of the processor in use and the refresh rate when compared to Realme V5 in it based on.

Talking about Realme 7 5G Specifications, the device sports a large 6.5-inch FHD Ultra Smooth Display boasting a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels along with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The USP of the display is its 120Hz refresh rate which is twice what a regular smartphone offers and a 50 percent upgrade over what Realme V5 offers in China (90Hz).

The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset which is another upgrade as the Realme V5 arrived in August 2020 with Dimensity 720 chipset on-board. The chipset is manufactured on a 7nm node and offers an integrated 5G modem allowing for dual 5G SIM support allowing users to connect to 5G using both of its SIM cards. Dimensity 800U 5G chipset has two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz along with six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired up with a Mali-G57 GPU that handles its graphics processing.

It is flanked with a 128GB of internal storage that users can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. It has two RAM variants i.e. 6GB and 8GB that users can choose with a single storage configuration mentioned above. It runs on Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0 on-board.

Flip the phone and you’ll see a Realme V5-like quad-camera setup. It has a 48MP primary shooter with 1/1.73” with an aperture of f/1.8. It is flanked by an 8MP ultrawide snapper with 119-degrees of FoV with an aperture of f/2.3. Finally, there are two 2MP lenses with monochrome and a macro sensor on-board. The front sports a 16MP snapper located in a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner.

Talking about the battery pack, the device features a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood along with a 30W Dart Charge which is capable of juicing up the battery from 0 to 100 percent in 65 minutes. A fingerprint scanner is located on the right side of the phone which is ideal for faster unlocks.

Realme 7 5G is available at a price tag of GBP 279 for its 6+128GB variant with a GBP 50 discount between November 27-30 during its Black Friday sales on Amazon. Realme 7 5G is the most affordable 5G smartphone in Europe. Pre-orders for the device will commence on November 27.
