Honor, on Tuesday,  launched their flagship smartphone Honor 10 in the Indian market. In fact, it is announced globally at an event in London. The Chinese smartphone maker introduced the smartphone in its home country last month. It has finally made its way to India and it will be available as a Flipkart Exclusive device.

Since this is the flagship offering, the device comes with top of the line specifications. Some of the key features are HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, AI 2.0, Glass design and much more. There are tons of launch day offer which we will be talking about later in this article.

Honor 10 specifications and design

Speaking of design first, Honor 10 comes with an Aurora glass back which basically reflects vivid colors from every direction. This glass back is only available in Phantom Blue color option. The whole glass design looks great and will give you a premium feel. There is horizontal dual camera setup at the back and some brandings. The fingerprint sensor is at the front of the device sitting inside a home button.

Honor 10 comes with a 5.84-inch full-HD+ FullView display with a 19:9 aspect ratio having a notch on the front. The notch houses selfie camera and earpiece. You will find a bottom bezel which houses a fingerprint sensor. This bezel does reduce the screen-to-body ratio to 86.2%. It would be great if the company went with the rear fingerprint sensor giving users an almost complete bezel-less display. The device is powered by a top-notch HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC having eight cores (four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz).

On storage font, the device has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It comes only in one variant. In terms of cameras, the Honor 10 boasts a dual camera setup at the back – one 24-megapixel sensor and one 16-megapixel sensor. Both the rear cameras come with a f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and AI photography mode. The brand touted its AI 2.0 a lot in the device, this AI recognizes scenes and objects in real time. The dual rear camera is widely touted as an AI camera by the brand. You’ll even find this written on the box also. The rear cameras also support 3D Portrait Lighting and HDR mode. There is a 24-MP (1.8-micron pixels) front camera sensor which also supports AI capabilities as well as 3D portrait lighting.

As already discussed, Honor 10 is available in 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant in the country. For some reason, the brand decided not to launch the 6GB and 64GB variant which I guess makes sense. The device comes with a price tag of Rs. 32,999. With this pricing, the device might compete with the likes of OnePlus 6. You have two color options – Midnight Black and Phantom Blue. Although, the global market has more color options.

Talking about the availability, the smartphone is a Flipkart exclusive device and is available from May 16 midnight for pre-order. The device will also be available from Honor’s official Indian website.

In the Europian market, Honor 10 is available at the price tag of EUR 399.90  (roughly Rs. 32,300) for 6GB+64GB variant and EUR 449.90 (roughly Rs. 36,400) for 6GB+128GB variant. Just like in India, the brand launched only one variant having 128GB ROM in the UK which is priced at GBP 399.99 (roughly Rs. 36,800). In Europe and the UK, the smartphone will be bundled with Monster Earphone II with Hi-Res Audio support, and a tailor-made sound profile for the Honor 10.
