HONOR appears to be preparing its next sub-flagship lineup, the Honor GT 2 series, which is expected to include the HONOR GT 2 and GT 2 Pro. A recent leak has revealed some of the key specifications for the standard GT 2 model. The new phones could be released as soon as November or December 2025.
HONOR GT 2 expected specifications
According to ITBear, the HONOR GT 2 may have a large 8,800mAh battery. This would be a significant increase from the 7,200mAh battery in the first-generation HONOR GT. Despite the larger battery, the phone is still expected to support 100W fast charging, allowing it to charge quickly.
The report also suggests the device will have up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This places it in the premium category, ideal for multitasking and storing a lot of media. If true, it would be one of the smartphones with the highest capacity on the market.

Beyond battery and memory upgrades, the HONOR GT 2 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED LTPS panel with a 1.5K resolution. Reports also point to an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a metal middle frame, suggesting a focus on both usability and durability.
The GT 2 may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is expected to be announced next month along with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. However, some reports also suggest that HONOR might use the Snapdragon 8 Elite (2024) as an alternative, depending on which chip is more available.
