More than a month ago, Honor unveiled the Honor Play with AI capabilities but one of the best thing about the event was the teaser for upcoming Honor Magic 2. Although we came across a number of details about the smartphone, we never knew the official date for its launch until now. We went to the Chinese official website of Honor and what we found out will blow your mind. Honor has officially declared the unveiling date for upcoming Honor Magic 2 that is on October 31 on a feature image on its website highlighting its super-fast Magic fast charging support that can give an output of whopping 40W of charge which is almost quadruple to many smartphones but there’s more.
The successor to the Honor Magic launched in December 2016, Honor Magic 2 brings a number of key features such as an edge-to-edge display with almost no bezels around the edges and chin at the bottom. It features a slide-out mechanism housing its front camera assembly resembling the Oppo Find X but there are speculations regarding the rear camera assembly which could or couldn’t be mounted behind the slide-out mechanism. During the IFA keynote, we saw that George Zhao, president of Huawei, manually slide out the mechanism which could be hinting towards something new rather than the automatic slide-out in Find X.
The upcoming Magic 2 will have the new HiSilicon Kirin 980 AI octa-core processor which was recently unveiled and Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro will be the first smartphones from Huawei to get it first. Even more amazing is the slew of AI features and capabilities that will be inculcated in the Magic 2 which makes it a must-look for a device in 2018.
Also, it has the super fast Magic Charge tested to perform at 40W charging speeds along with Honor’s 15-layer safety protection system that will protect the phone from any charging-related debacle like Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Check out full details about the Honor Magic 2 on October 31 when Honor (a subsidiary of Huawei) will officially launch the product and yes, we will update more details about it on True-Tech so stay tuned.
