Huawei has already launched various smartphone not just in the Chinese market but as well as in Indian shores. The brand is now preparing for their next installment in Mate series. It’s time for the next gen Huawei Mate 20 as well as Huawei Mate 20 Lite to make an appearance. The smartphone maker is expected to launch both the smartphones this fall. We now know everything about the lite variant thanks to numerous previous leaks.

We’re already aware of the fact that the Huawei Mate 20 Lite is going to come in two different variants. The smartphone recently surfaced on the TENAA listing revealing both the images as well as full specifications leaving nothing to the imagination.

Huawei Mate 20 Lite surfaced on TENAA listing for the certification and dropped us images of the black color variant. The Mate 20 Lite appeared with a model number of SNE-AL00. The device looks identical to the previous generation Huawei Mate 10 Lite. The smartphone has a narrow notch on the front housing selfie shooter as well as other sensors. Since this is the mid-budget device, there are some bezels on the side but the chin looks tiny. There is a dual camera setup which slightly protruding accompanied by an LED flash as well as a fingerprint sensor.

Apart from the images, the TENAA listing also revealed full specs of the device. Huawei Mate 20 Lite is going to come with a 6.3-inch display having an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. As mentioned above, there will be a narrow notch with a tiny chin. The notch is pretty expected since the smartphone maker shipped most of their smartphone with notch this year as per the report.

The listing revealed an octa-core 2.2 GHz CPU without any model name. The lite variant is going to be a mid-budget device, therefore, Kirin 710 chipset is expected. Also, it turns out the budget Kirin 710 SoC runs with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. Talking about the storage, there is a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage packed inside. In terms of optics, there is a dual camera setup at the back having 20-megapixel primary as well as 2-megapixel depth sensing sensors. Like the back, the front also has a dual camera setup – 24 MP and 2 MP, again the last one being depth sensing one. All of this will run on the latest version of EMUI 8.2 on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3,650 mAh battery packed inside. The device measures 158.3 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm and weighs 172 grams.

There is no word on the pricing of the lite variant as of now but we’re speculating more leaks to make a round on the internet. To recall, the brand recently introduced Nova series in the Indian market with the Huawei Nova 3i and Huawei Nova 3. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, on the other hand, is about to launch their first gaming-centric smartphone in the country – Honor Play.
