Hyundai rolled out its EV offering – the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 and it is expanding its catalog further. Although it isn’t the first time we are hearing about a Hyundai Creta EV, the latest report shows a spy shot showcasing the upcoming EV SUV from its left profile. Codenamed SU2i EV, we have sutured all the information available about the 2025 Hyundai Creta EV SUV.
Hyundai Creta EV 2025 Spied in the Wild
Hyundai Creta has been hurtling across the Indian roads paired on its IC-engine type for a long time. We just got an update on its next-gen EV prototype that was pictured in the wild recently. The first look shows how it looks similar to the IC variant with slight cosmetic changes to the pan floor pan extensions among others.
The carmaker is working towards localizing the model to drive the cost of production down. It will ultimately affect the end pricing on the road for customers as well. Expect minor modifications in the EV variant which it will be made on E-GMP architecture for both Indian and global markets.
The spy shot does show a protrusion under the body which is likely a battery pack laid on the floor. Creta EV was spotted at an EV charging station which goes to show that this was indeed an EV SUV and not the usual IC-based model.
