- Apple iPhone Fold appears in a detailed video showcase by fpt.
- The video teases the phone with a crease-less display and a book-style folding mechanism.
- Apple is likely to launch the phone alongside iPhone 18 Pro models in September 2026.
It looks like 2026 will be the year when we get to see a seamless foldable display on board the much-anticipated iPhone Fold. The phone has reportedly appeared on multiple CAD schematics and renders, and now we have a full-blown video showing the phone from all possible angles. Yes, it doesn’t have a big Apple logo on it (of course).
Bid adieu to creases — iPhone Fold video showcase will leave you stunned
A full-blown iPhone Fold video by the folks at Front Page Tech (fpt). The phone looks similar to the CAD renders that were shared earlier. It is likely one of the three next-gen iPhones releasing next year, i.e., iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and Fold, while the standard iPhone 18 would take some time. There’s also news around iPhone 17e as well, although we won’t be discussing that at large right here.
Talking about the iPhone Fold video showcase, the phone looks neat with what appears to be a seamless display. For years, smartphone makers have been battling with creases at the center of a folding display, which is inherent. However, the Cupertino-based giant claims it has found a way to eliminate the creases with the use of liquid metal on the hinges and some Apple wizardry. It seems not-so-logical that we will bid adieu to creases so soon, given Samsung hasn’t been able to completely get rid of them even though the Galaxy Z Fold has reached 7 generations so far.
Anyway, we have a Touch ID on board thanks to the courtesy of the iPhone Fold video showcase. There’s no Face ID since the components have space and can increase the thickness of the phone. The iPhone Fold currently stands at 9mm when folded at its slimmest point, although the camera bump, which is reminiscent of iPhone 17 Air, does increase the thickness a bit.
iPhone Fold is likely to bring four cameras on board. There’s one on the outer (secondary) 5.5” OLED display plus, a dual camera setup at the back, and another punch-hole selfie shooter on the inner 7.9” iPad-ish display. It remains to be seen where exactly the punch-hole camera finds its slot, given there’s still confusion on where we will have it on the right or left or under the display.
iPhone Fold will see a bigger battery life thanks to a high-density battery tech and its dual-cell architecture. There’s a C2 modem under the hood that will provide optimizations to the battery as well for a prolonged battery life.
Usually, newer iPhones are launched in September, and this time around, we are expecting at least three models, i.e., iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold (unless Apple wants to call it iPhone Ultra). Apple is opting for a split-launch strategy, which means iPhone 18 and 18 Plus (or 17e or others) might arrive a few months apart.
