If you are eagerly waiting for the Google Pixel Watch 3, get ready to face some degree of disappointment. For those who are unversed, the original Google Pixel Watch too arrived with a sub-par user experience only to get reincarnated thanks to multiple software updates.
Then, we got our hands on the Google Pixel Watch 2 which saw minor design changes but with a hardware overhaul, and that got many tech enthusiasts glued to it. However, things might not be the same with Google Pixel Watch 3 if the recent updates are to be believed.
Google Pixel Watch 3 CAD-based Renders Leaked
Folks at 91Mobiles and reputable tipster @OnLeaks posted CAD-based renders showcasing the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 3. Compared to the Pixel Watch 2, there are only a few changes in terms of design. For once, the Pixel Watch 3 uses the same 1.2” circular display but with a dimension of 40.79×40.73x14mm compared to 41x41x12.3mm on the Pixel Watch 2.
As you can tell, the Pixel Watch 3 is a tad bit smaller but thicker, and with unexplained reasons why it increased from 12.3mm to 14mm. It could be a minuscule change but when it comes to specifics, these are the dimensions that Pixel Watch 3 will come up with. It couldn’t be because of a larger battery since the Pixel Watch 3 reportedly uses a 307mAh pack as opposed to 304mAh on the predecessor.
Could it be holding new sensors? For once, we can see the bezels on the CAD-based renders are comparatively thinner than Pixel Watch 2. If you remember (and you can just read this), Pixel Watch 2 was criticized for thick bezels but it seems like Samsung has learned about it and taken steps to mitigate it.
Google Pixel Watch 3 launch is slated to be this fall alongside the Pixel 9 series and Buds Pro 2. You can try between two sizes where the vanilla Watch 3 has a single 41mm while the larger model belongs to the Pixel Watch 3 Pro. We will certainly have to wait for some more time before getting any update on hardware and software updates we could see on the Pixel Watch 3. However, it goes without saying, that the upcoming watch may disappoint you if there are no significant changes made.
