iPhone 8 leaks and rumors have been revolving around since a few months. It’s the same story every year with leaks getting more and more accurate as we near the actual launch event. Today we have a pretty interesting leak that clearly shows the front and back of the device.
The images look real and show no hints of it being photoshopped; they also have a caption that loosely translates to “will it boot”. Although it’s interesting to see a relatively high-quality photo of the device, it’s not too big of a surprise though because it matches with pretty much any other leaked image that we’ve seen before. I don’t particularly like the front because the contrasting colors of the screen and the bezels so if I end up buying it, I’ll definitely go for the black one. Although the images look promising, it’s necessary to take them with a pinch of salt.
Although the designs keep coming every other week, there have been reports suggesting delays in shipping. We don’t know exactly why but I would like to comfort myself thinking it’s because of all the new features that are going to come bundled. The other two devices, iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, however, don’t seem to be affected by the delay at the moment.
Many other reports suggest that the power button is getting a bump in size, particularly to sport a finger print scanner on it like on some Sony phones. There have also been talks about the scanner being integrated under the screen itself and even so about ditching it entirely in favor of 3D face recognition. This went badly for Samsung but Apple has always been known for pushing things only after they perfect it so I hope they don’t mess it up.
