Live images of Samsung Galaxy S10 teases Blockchain-Based Wallet

As the launch date for Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup is nearing, leaks are intensifying. A new live image of the upcoming device has surfaced on the web and hinting towards what was earlier speculated i.e. a blockchain keystore. Aptly titled as Samsung Blockchain Keystore, the image shows a blockchain app wallet to store private keys of cryptocurrencies.

If you look at the images tagged below, you’ll notice that the phone has a single front camera which means it is probably a regular Samsung Galaxy S10. Further, the image provides information on a cryptocurrency wallet touted as ‘Samsung Blockchain KeyStore’ that stores private keys of cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum (ETH) and act as a secure wallet for transactions. The image was leaked on SlashLeaks.

The said feature was teased a few weeks ago when SamMobile blockchain technology although the South Korean squashed the probability at least with the Samsung Galaxy S10 earlier. But here is a pointer that Samsung could possibly be working on a blockchain-based wallet for the upcoming smartphones expected to unveil officially on February 20, 2019.

The images show ‘Ethereum’ as the only supported cryptocurrency as of now but the feature could be in an unfinished state so there’s hope for more cryptocurrencies soon. The user can either create or import an existing wallet that will be secured using fingerprint and other technology that Samsung choose to secure the KeyStore from prying eyes.

Of late, various leaks have appeared online regarding the upcoming Galaxy S10 lineup such as the feature that these phones will support reverse wireless charging capability. Samsung is also about to announce Galaxy Fold around April as per a report although it will fetch between $1,500 to $2,000 which goes in line with previous reports.

Speaking about Galaxy S10 lineup prices, the Lite or Galaxy S10E goes for £780 while the higher tier of regular Galaxy S10 (6/128GB) fetches a price tag of £930. Finally, the top model in Galaxy S10+ with speculated 1TB internal storage and 12GB could fetch as high as £1,600 which is loosely $2,000 or Rs 1,40,000/- INR.
