Major Highlights From CES 2019 Day 1: Samsung, Asus, LG etc.

CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. CES showcases more than 4,500 exhibiting companies, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more; a conference program with more than 250 conference sessions and more than 180k+ attendees from 150+ countries.

Here is the main highlights from Day 1 i,e,. 8th of January:

Samsung at CES 2019

Samsung and Apple collectively announced their partnership to bring a new iTunes movies and television shows app, as well as AirPlay to select Samsung smart TVs.  Also Samsung announced world’s largest OLED TV that is of 98 inches.one-upping last year’s 85-inch 8K TV, which is now on sale for $15,000.

Samsung also previewed a handful of adorable robots that can help around the house and retail stores. It’s not clear if they do a ton (the one robot that was demoed just wheeled itself around and took someone’s blood pressure), but they all come with cute blinking eyes that it’s impossible not to love.

 

Asus at CES 2019

Asus introduced its premium ZenBook S13 notebook powered by 8th generation Intel Core processors, Asus’s ZenBook S13 is claimed to be the thinnest and slimmest notebook overriding Acer with discrete graphics and the 97 per cent screen-to-body-ratio.

Asus also announced ROG Mothership, a detachable gaming desktop. It is designed in such a way that the keyboard can detach and fold to fit in different scenarios. Pricing and availability are not yet available.

 

AMD at CES 2019

AMD or Advanced Micro Devices announced their new mobile processors. The lineup includes the new second-generation Ryzen 3000 series mobile. Built using 12nm manufacturing technology, the new Ryzen 3000 Series Mobile CPUs promises to offer high-end features such as Wake on Voice, smooth gaming, etc.

LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled the world’s first rollable OLED TV in which the screen retracts into a box when not in use. Built on a concept unveiled last year, the 65-inch Signature OLED TV R will be available this year for sale, the company announced on Monday at the CES 2019 here. “A rollable OLED TV is a true game-changer, liberating users from the limitations of the wall and freeing them to curate their own personal space which no longer needs to be reserved full time for TV viewing,” said LG.

Lenovo at CES 2019

Lenovo has unveiled a set of products from gaming laptop to notebooks and from gaming monitors to gaming headsets.

Lenovo announced Legion Y740 and Y540 Laptops. Lenovo Y540 with a 15.6 “display diagonal is equipped with an eighth generation Intel Core processor and a GeForce RTX 2060graphics adapter whereas Lenovo Y740 with an IPS-screen with a diagonal of 15.6 “or 17.3”, support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology and a scan rate of 144 Hz, received a GeForce RTX 2080 Max – Q video card in top-end configuration .

And in other end lenovo presented one more notebook series that is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga. The laptop received a productive stuffing based on the Intel Core processor of the eighth generation. The thickness of the device is only 14.65 mm, weight – 1.1 kg. The novelty will be completed with one display with support for Dolby Vision technology with a resolution up to 4K inclusive and with a brightness up to 500 nits.

Also they demoed the diagonal display of this monitor with narrow is 43.4 inches, the aspect ratio is 32:10. The model boasts support for AMD FreeSync technology and a refresh rate of 144 Hz – this provides the most smooth display of images in dynamic game scenes.
