These days every OEM is trying to get and implement the latest and best hardware possible in their smartphones. The two major players of the SoC industry, i.e., Qualcomm and Mediatek, are doing their best to follow the trend. Currently, most immersing technology is the small architectured SoC i.e., 5nm tech and 5G connectivity. Qualcomm already announced their flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC in the global market at this year’s Qualcomm Tech Summit, and now, Mediatek also announced their Dimensity 1000+ 5G SoC in India.
While most MediaTek chips are manufactured on TSMC foundries, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ takes after its predecessor, counting on a 7nm EUV manufacturing process from Samsung. It features four high-performance ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and 4 ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2GHz, alongside a 9-core Mali G77 MP9 GPU.
The core configuration of the new Dimensity 1000+ SoC somehow resembles the MediaTek Dimensity 1000, like the ability to support up to 144Hz FHD+ displays, the enhanced and modified MiraVision Engine for SDR to HDR conversion, and HDR10+ support.
The Dimensity 1000+ also presents the improved Hyper Engine 2.0 for better scaling of the CPU and GPU frequencies, and there are multiple enhancements in situ that make this quite titillating gaming SoC. And if history is precedence, smartphones powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ won’t be too expensive.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC is manufactured on a 7nm process with 5G support that has dual 5G SIM, UltraSave power-saving solution, and more. The 5G Ultrasave feature is claimed to enhance the battery life by managing 5G connectivity including the modem’s configuration and frequency for better power efficiency.
The selling and most focused point of the SoC is it’s a bunch of features, Intelligent 5G Connectivity, Powerful Display Optimization (MediaTek MiraVision), Triple-A Gaming Performance (MediaTek HyperEngine), and Advanced and Adaptable Camera Support (up to 64MP sensors).
The first phone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ in India is widely expected to be the Realme X7 Pro. Speaking of the Realme X7 Pro, in case you missed the launch and the specifications, it was launched in China in September, it touts a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The device is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged using the 65-watt fast charger, and quad cameras 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP setup, etc. Realme X7 Pro price in China is RMB 2,199 (approx Rs 23,400) and that we can expect similar pricing in India.
