Chances are, you haven’t heard about this company called MGCOOL before. Well, we don’t want to blame you for that. MGCOOL is a new, but one of the fastest growing brands today that sells sports cameras and smart wear products. They have been selling their products on popular online e-tailer GearBest for a few years now and has already become the second best-seller under the electronics department after Huawei (of course!).

So, now that you have a bit of an idea about the company, you might be even more interested in knowing about their upcoming budget-friendly 4K action camera. Recently, MGCOOL announced the MGCOOL Explorer 2, a 4K action camera that is expected to be priced around $200. If the price turns out to be true, it will be one of the best alternatives to the high-priced GoPro lineups. Now, let’s see what the company itself has to say about their upcoming product.

The camera will have voice control features and support multiple languages. It sports a 2.0-inch multi-touch LCD screen, GPS positioning and a built-in gyroscope to provide better electronic image stabilization. Not much info about the camera has been released by the company, but we are expecting it to record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 120 fps. Besides, the device can withstand 30 meters of water using MGCOOL’s waterproof case. Also, the Explorer 2 uses H.265 codec, and thus videos shot using the camera will be smaller in size (compared to H.264 codec) without any compromise in its high-quality.

The MGCOOL Explorer 2 will come out in two color variants – black and orange, with an expected price tag of $199.99. Meanwhile, the previous generation MGCOOL Explorer can now be purchased via GearBest for a highly discounted price of $49.99.
