Moto G-series from Motorola is famous for its effective pricing. We have already Moto G 5G Plus in the market which is considered one of the cheapest 5G smartphones. Now, according to the recent reports, Motorola is going to launch another cheap 5G smartphone, Moto G 5G, most probably the downgraded version of Moto G 5G Plus.
According to Adam Conway of XDA Developers, the Moto G 5G won’t accompany a Snapdragon 690 processor as previously reported but the Snapdragon 750G processor. this is often an equivalent chipset that powers the Mi 10T Lite and therefore the Galaxy A42 5G.
Missing some specs there????
6.66-inch
2400×1080 resolution
5000mAh battery
Google Assistant button
Coming to Verizon (w/o GA button)
Also XT2113-1 and XT2113-5 models— Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman) October 30, 2020
The info which was revealed on Twitter also includes other specs like a 60Hz FHD display with a punch hole. Other alleged specs on the Moto G 5G include a 6.66-inch, 2400 x 1080-pixel AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G paired with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. The camera department looks quite interesting. The phone features a rear triple camera setup and a single camera on the front. The rear camera setup includes a primary 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor, a secondary 8-megapixel Samsung telephoto lens, and lastly a -megapixel OmniVision macro lens. And the front camera includes a 16-megapixel OmniVision lens for selfies.
Apparently, the Moto G 5G is going to be supported by the new Snapdragon 750G chipset – a promising part that gives 5G support, including mmWave and AI noise suppression at a budget price point. The exciting silicon already made a rather impressive debut on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and seems to possess the potential to be budget-friendly, yet capable 5G phones.
Interestingly enough, the Moto G 5G also will have a Google Assistant button on the side very similar to LG’s recent devices. After looking at the specs, we can surely say that Moto G 5G is going to be a fully-featured smartphone within a good budget. Judging from the leaked photo, it seems to possess reduced bezels and a more modern design compared to previous devices within the Moto G series. While it’ll likely miss out on wireless charging, it doesn’t miss out on essentials like NFC and microSD support.
Although many of the important details like the release date and exact pricing are currently unknown, it’s good to ascertain more budget 5G phones beginning of the woodworks.
