Motorola has launched quite a few smartphones in 2021 and seems like 2022 will be the same. Backing up a few weeks, Motorola has now announced the Motorola Moto G Power (2022) in the U.S. with a 90Hz display, Helio G37 SoC and a 50MP camera, and more. Released in the U.S, the handset will commence shipping in early 2022 while the potential buyers in Canada will have to wait for a few months to get their hands on the phone. Here’s more about it.

Motorola G Power 2020 Pricing and Availability

The Motorola G Power 2020 will be available in the U.S. in early 2020 via Metro by T-Mobile and Republic Wireless. The folks can buy their handset from Cricket, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Google Fi, and Xfinity Mobile later. The handset is available at $199 for the base 4GB+64GB version while the larger 4GB+128GB variant is available at $249. Motorola G Power 2020 will arrive in Canada in the coming months as well.

Motorola G Power 2020 Specifications

The Motorola G Power 2020 arrives with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD Max 90Hz display boasting a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. For the uninitiated, Motorola has bumped the refresh rate to 90Hz from the standard 60Hz found on the last iteration. The device has also seen swapping of the processor to an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37. The performance of this chipset will be known soon once the device hits the market.

Moving on, Motorola has jacked up the base storage from 3GB+32GB to 4GB+64GB. In fact, another storage trim on the device boasts 128GB storage with an expandability of up to 512GB using a microSD card.

The next is the optics and Motorola Moto G Power 2020 does shine here as well. The device boasts a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 at the back along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor although I am not a big fan of these two auxiliary sensors. The front-facing camera remains the same at 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture.

Tagging along is a beefy 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support so it is safe to assume that it will take approx 3-3.5hours to juice up the battery this size. At least Motorola has included the charging brick in the retail box.

Lastly, the device runs on a near-stock Android 11 OS out-of-the-box with a slight taste of Moto MyUX for customizations. You can get your hands on G Power 2020 in a single Dark Grove color variant only.
