Motorola is making headlines again with the upcoming launch of its stylus-equipped smartphone, the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus. With the upcoming Stylus, Motorola aims at users who want stylus functionality without the premium price tag, the new device is reportedly launching in India on April 17, 2025, at an attractive price of ₹22,999 (approximately $266 or €243).
Motorola Edge 60 Stylus Leaks: Everything You Need to Know!
Just one day after rumors about the new gadget started to circulate, we now have product renders, a price, and a confirmed launch date. It’s going fast. If you’ve seen the Edge 60 Fusion or the recently released Moto G Stylus (2025), you’ll know what I mean when I say that the design fits in with Motorola’s current trends.
The stylus blends in perfectly with the overall structure, the design retains its clean look, and it has gentle curves. At that point, things start to get even more interesting. According to reports, the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus will go on sale in India on April 17 for ₹22,999, which is roughly $266 or €243. For a phone with a design similar to high-end models and a stylus, the price is pretty appealing.
On April 17, which also happens to be the date of the initial launch, Motorola will also release the Moto G Stylus (2025) in the United States. I looked into it more and found that the technical specs of the two phones are almost the same. The processor is where the main difference is found.
However, upon further investigation, I discovered something even more peculiar: the specifications of the two phones are almost the same. The sole significant distinction is the processor.
According to Abishek Yadav, the Moto G Stylus (2025) has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, while the Edge 60 Stylus is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Theoretically, they are quite similar; in essence, the 6th Generation 3 model is a slightly more subdued version of the 7th Generation 2. Despite having different power outputs, the two phones have the same basic design.

This action raises a serious question: What is Motorola’s overarching strategy in this case? As of right now, Motorola seems to be using a clever branding technique. While the “Moto G” name is more well-known in the US, the “Edge” series seems more upscale in India. Under different brand names, they might be promoting the same phone to meet local tastes in different markets.
The Edge 60 Stylus itself is among its most intriguing features. The inclusion of a stylus in a purportedly high-end device seems like a big shift because Motorola hasn’t historically actively pursued the stylus market outside of its Moto G series.
In order to ascertain whether there is a market for them at a lower price point, they might be measuring interest in features similar to those of the Samsung Galaxy Note. Motorola has not yet made the Edge 60 Stylus’s features or specifications public, but from what I’ve seen, this smartphone is starting to resemble a high-end gadget with several mid-range features.
The gadget may have an OLED screen, quick charging, and a good camera setup, which could be comparable to that found in the Moto G Stylus (2025).
To be honest, the launch is probably going to be more about Motorola’s presentation of the device than its technical details. The product name and branding are the only differences in the hardware. It remains to be seen if this choice will ultimately leave customers perplexed or give them more options.
On April 17, we will be closely monitoring. Any misunderstandings should then be resolved by the official reveal. At ₹22,999, the Edge 60 Stylus might be a good choice, particularly for people who like stylus phones but don’t want to shell out the cash for a Galaxy S24 Ultra.
I’ll keep looking for more details for the time being and let you know when Motorola makes a formal announcement.
