Motorola is finally pushing out the Android 6.0 update for the Moto G. At least, if you’re living in the US. It is good to see that they’re working hard!
Following the rollout of the Android 6.0 update to the Moto X Style, Moto X Pure and the Moto X Pure Edition 2014, it looks like Motorola is now also pushing out the update to the Moto G 2015 in the US. If you own this amazing device, the update should now be available for download.
Android 6.0 brings a ton of improvements and new features, including Doze, permission controls, Now on Tap, Android Pay, and easier volume controls. With the update a few options will be lost though, like Moto Assist, Moto Migrate, and their Google Chrome extension for Moto Connect. They’re claiming that those features aren’t needed anymore as Google is including similar features into Android. The company isn’t looking for a way to compliment Android, they don’t want to compete with it.
Do you still need to receive your update? Head to Settings>About phone>System updates to check for your update manually. Or is your Moto G / other Moto device updated already, let us know in the comments if you’re liking it.
