A lot of rumors have been spreading about Nokia relaunching it’s most successful phone – the Nokia 3310, and we can now confirm that they are true. The phone will be one of the four phones that will be unveiled in Barcelona at the Mobile Word Congress later this month according to leaker Evan Blass.

The phone was first announced in late 2000, and Nokia managed to sell about 125 million units worldwide. It quickly grew popular because of its battery life and nearly indestructible battery life and a replacement for the Nokia 3210.

The “modern version” will be priced just around 62$ and will be similar to the one released in 2000. Nokia is planning to release it in the European markets first and will later decide on the North American region.

HMD Global, a Finnish company, has bought the rights to the brand name Nokia and all phones will be sold by them. HMD also plans on revealing three other mobiles in the same event – Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 which unlike the 3310, are modern smartphones.

The Nokia 6, which has already launched in China, will feature a 5.2-inch display, a 2GB RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear camera. It will also be the highest priced out of the four being announced with the retail prices starting at about 264$. The next model with the closest price range, the Nokia 5 will cost 50$ less.

Although smartphones have taken over the world and a lot has changed since it’s the first release, the Nokia 3310 might be a good choice for former owners and can be used as a second phone. It might help generate new interest in the Nokia brand.

The Nokia event is set to begin on 26th of February at 4:30 PM CET.
