We’ve experienced some decent leaks on the Nokia 9 for the past few weeks. There have been leaks from various sources but this time it comes from the manufacturer itself. MWC is around the corner and HMD Global is all set to unveil its much-awaited devices under the Nokia brand later in February.
An Indonesian blog detikINET posted some images of what supposedly looks like the upcoming Nokia 9. The phone is yet to be announced and the images show a person using the phone’s camera in the first image and in the second image the person holding the phone with its rear side visible in the image.
Taking a look at the images (included below), the rear panel of the device seems to be of glass and it sports a dual-camera setup with a LED flash to its right. Some reports suggest that the device in the image could be the Nokia 7 Plus, and going by the leaks we saw last week, it’s safe to say it might indeed be the Nokia 7 Plus. Since there have been no official comments on these images, we cannot say for sure which Nokia device it actually is.
Nokia 7 Plus Rumoured Specifications
The first image shows us that the device will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The Nokia 7 Plus is expected to sport a 6-inch display with a bezel-less design, just like in the image above. The Nokia 7, on the other hand, sports a 16:9 display with the fingerprint sensor at the back and it’s pretty obvious that a 18:9 display will force the fingerprint scanner to be moved to the back.
According to some reports, the Nokia 7 Plus is expected to be launched before the Nokia 9 at the MWC event. The images show us the camera setup at the rear is vertically-aligned, unlike iPhone X, it’s placed in the centre.
Nokia 9 Rumoured Specifications
The images corroborate with the past Nokia 9 leaks, too. The Nokia 9 will most probably be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the Nokia 9 may hold a 5MP front camera and the rear camera will have a 13-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. The device is expected to come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with 3250mAh battery.
