Nothing Phone 3 is getting ready as the next smartphone to hit the market. Succeeding last year’s Nothing Phone 2, the phone might have appeared in a cryptic teaser on X (formerly Twitter).
London-based Nothing, a brainchild of OnePlus’ ex-founder Carl Pei, took it to X.com to tease a cryptic post that reads “3, 2, 1.” flanked with an image of what seems like the rear bottom panel of a device. It is unclear whether Nothing is teasing the next-gen Nothing Phone 3 or we are seeing what could be Nothing’s sub-brands CMF Phone 1. As said, this is a cryptic post for which, Nothing is widely known. As of now, we are baffled about what device is incoming, although there’s a heavy inclination towards Phone 3 since it is highly due and anticipated.
Nothing Phone 2 made its debut with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 at INR 44,999/- in July 2023 followed by an affordable Nothing Phone (2a) in March 2024 priced at INR 23,999/-. Since we are already in June and July is barely four weeks ago, we could be in line with what we assume is the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
According to the various rumors, Nothing Phone 3 will fetch a price tag between INR 40,000/- and INR 45,000/-.

Nothing Phone 3 could get a design overhaul?
Unfortunately, there’s no update on what else we could expect with the device except the fact that it too will have a semi-transparent back just like the initial three offerings. Of course, the teaser image shows an all-black part of the device that I assume is either the left or right side of the back panel.
The original Nothing Phone 1, Phone 2, and Phone 2a got semi-transparent back panels making them stand out from the clutter of the market. It doesn’t fit right that Nothing will undergo a design overhaul for its next premium offering unless this is a cue on the removable back panel revealing the screw inside.
On the other hand, reports are hinting the teaser could be for CMF Phone 1, we need more clarity on the matter to confirm anything.
