OnePlus 5 Oreo Beta 2 released with camera UI improvements and bug fix

Towards the end of November, OnePlus had released the Android Oreo-based OxygenOS Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 5. The company has now released the second beta update for its flagship device. The OnePlus 5 Oreo Beta 2 includes a lot of improvements and bug fixes to the device which we’ll talk about in the later section.

OnePlus has promised to bring the final Android 8.0 Oreo update to the OnePlus 5 by early 2018. While the first beta update brought substantial changes to the OS, being a major Android update, one can’t expect the same from the second beta update. But there are a lot of fixes and improvements.

The company has fixed some launcher issues related to widgets and app shortcuts and has also included some improvements to the camera UI. The OxygenOS Open Beta 2 also includes the November security patch and brings improvements to the reading mode, vibration, and Bluetooth audio. File Manager has also seen a couple of changes with the new update.

  • Fixed shortcut issues

  • Speed improvements while deleting massive files.

  • Fixed Parallel apps bugs
  • Fixed reboot issue when using Picture in Picture
  • Updated Android security patch to November
  • General bug fixes and stability improvements.

Being an open beta update, OnePlus wants the users to provide the company with any bug found at the bug report forum. The company is also asking the users to fill out a survey on UX and UI. Both of which can be found in this thread on the OnePlus Forums.
