OnePlus 5T has been the talk of the town for quite a few weeks now and it’s time for it to come back on the front cover yet again. OnePlus had been planning something special for its users who love Star Wars and yes, you guessed it right it’s a OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition.
The launch was held in India at an event in Mumbai on 14th December, just before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie in India. The device sports a white back panel with the Star Wars logo. The box contains some goodies which every Star Wars fan would appreciate. The box contains a black rugged case which is modelled exactly to look like the helmet of Kylo Ren.
OnePlus states that the white sandstone back panel of the device is inspired by the white coloured salt plains of the planet Crait which is seen in the movie, also the red coloured alert slider is based on the red coloured mineral which is mined on that planet. I have to say the box does look a lot appealing than the standard version, as mentioned before it also contains some Star Wars stickers.
The device also sports a Stormtrooper wallpaper. This OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition is available in India and in some other regions such as Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Other than the design and the box that it comes in, nothing else has pretty much changed. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition retails for Rs. 38,999 in India and is available in the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
The device sports a 6-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It, of course, has the 18:9 display ratio. Under the hood, it’s powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which is clocked at 2.45GHz and its coupled with 8GB of RAM, as mentioned above. As far as the camera is concerned the dual camera setup at the rear packs in a 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and the second one with a 20MP sensor. The front camera also has a 16-Megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
It also bears a fingerprint sensor just below the rear camera and just above the OnePlus Logo. The device packs in a 3300mAh battery which of course is non-removable. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition goes on sale at 12 AM IST on Friday, 15th December and it’s on the same day of the release of the movie. The phone goes on sale on Amazon and OnePlus stores.
