OnePlus is all set to launch OnePlus 8T and it has even confirmed the date of launch i.e. October 14. Although it was already rumored, OnePlus confirmed the date along with the venue i.e. it will be an online event and will commence at 7:30 pm IST or 10 am ET and it will.be aired on the OnePlus website.

Talking about OnePlus 8T, the phone is an incremental update over OnePlus 8 and will bring a few key changes and improvements on-board. OnePlus usually launches flagship phones in the first half of the year followed by an incremental update as ‘T-series’ in the second half of the year. Last year we saw OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro launch as an incremental update to OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

This year, we already saw OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro and it was quickly followed by an affordable OnePlus Nord that was released in India and Europe.

Cut to the chase, OnePlus 8T will sport a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with a front cut-out on the top left corner. The phone will sport a large 4500mAh battery which is even larger than OnePlus 8’s 4300 mAh battery. It will be powered by Snapdragon 865+ which is an overclocked version of Snapdragon 865. Moreover, the phone will have a 65W Warp Charge which to put into perspective, it is more than twice what OnePlus 8 had i.e. 30T Warp Charge. No doubt the 65W charging tech would juice up the battery in a little over half-hour as we have already seen it with a couple of phones from OnePlus’s sister company.

OnePlus 8T 5G as the name suggests supports 5G just as its predecessor. A recent leak from a leakster who goes by the name ‘Chun’ states that the phone will be priced at 799€/$799 for its 8+128GB model while the higher 12+256GB variant will be priced at 899€/$899 and it looks legit although we will have to wait some more to get official pricing.
