I was fast asleep when the folks at OpenAI were launching their latest AI system, and when I woke up, I was blown away. The GPT-5 is the most efficient, smartest, and powerful LLM model from Microsoft and OpenAI to date. It has gained a bunch of new features and powerful AI reasoning capabilities that can understand complex tasks using minimal prompts and write code better than ever.

It may not be available in all the markets and for some subscription tiers, but it is surely something you should be investing in. The GPT-5 model was released on August 7, more than two years after its predecessor, GPT-4, arrived in March 2023, followed by GPT-4o in May 2024, and so on.
According to OpenAI’s Sam Altman, the new GPT-5 model is a significant step towards AGI. It is perhaps a testament to more than 700 million people who are actively using ChatGPT each week, and that number is growing immensely. What started as a nonprofit research laboratory has become a $300 billion company focusing on building AGI led by Altman.
According to OpenAI, the GPT-5 model is the fastest and most useful model ever that has built-in thinking capabilities. It can answer questions revolving around law, finance, science, math, coding, and more. There’s a built-in canvas to preview apps, games, or websites, to preview the output.
