- Rumors suggest upcoming Oppo Find N6 could bring Android's leading flagship chipset aka the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
- This will give Oppo an edge over its competitors in the foldable phone space.
- Oppo Find N6 could see a satellite connectivity variant as well, possibly launching in China-only.
The foldable smartphone market might be headed for its biggest performance jump yet. A new leak suggests that the upcoming Oppo Find N6 could be the first foldable phone to run Qualcomm’s full-powered Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, something no other foldable has managed so far.
Oppo Find N6 is expected to bring a flagship chipset, the first for a foldable phone
According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) via Weibo, the upcoming Oppo Find N6 foldable could bring a full-fledged Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. This will be a major leap compared to the Oppo Find N5 that was launched back in February 2025 with a trimmed-down Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Even though the indications are as such, we need to take it with a pinch of salt, as Find N6 could see a trimmed-down version of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as well. In any case, if the rumors are true, Find N6 will take the edge as the first foldable phone to pick up Android’s leading chipset, a feat none of its competitors have been able to bring to the table. See, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7, OnePlus Open, to name a few.
DCS further adds that the top variant of Oppo Find N6 (or it can be a standalone phone altogether) will feature satellite connectivity limited to China. Whether it comes out of its home country or not remains a mystery.

What else to expect from the Oppo Find N6
Based on previous reports, we can paint a picture of what Oppo Find N6 can bring to the table. The phone is likely to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, as said earlier. There’s a 6,000mAh battery, possibly with a dual-cell architecture. Next up, we have an 8.1” primary and a 6.6” cover display, both of which can be used independently. There’s a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-808 snapper and a 50MP periscope telephoto cam with 3x optical zoom located on the back panel as well.
Oppo is likely to follow a thinner profile for the upcoming Find N6, given the fact that its Find N5 was the thinnest amongst traditional foldable phones available today.
Watch out for this space as we bring more updates on the upcoming Oppo Find N6 as it readies launch soon, albeit with no dates confirmed as of writing this.
