- Oppo is likely to launch Oppo Find X9 Series in October this year.
- It will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Dimensity 9500 SoC based on the model and region you chose.
- Apparently, Oppo is marketing the series akin to upcoming Apple iPhone 17 Series with four models named almost identical to the latter.
Take my word for it, the next-gen Oppo Find X9 Series will pit against the upcoming Apple iPhone 17 Series. Apparently, the series will comprise four models as it comes from a reputable tipster Digital Chat Station further putting some gravity on it being true to the tee.
Oppo Find X9 Series Positioned as a Rival to iPhone 17
Oppo Find X9 Series is awaiting its launch a couple of months later. However, the Chinese smartphone maker is already marketing it as a competitor to the iPhone 17 Series to launch around the same time. This goes in line with how Oppo marketed the Find X8 series against iPhone 16 to lure Apple users and attract some eyeballs.
The Oppo Find X9 Series, comprises at least four models — The Find X9 (‘mini’ but without the moniker), the Find X9 Plus, the Find X9 Pro, and the Find X9 Ultra with a seemingly large display. Note that Oppo won’t be adding the suffix ‘mini’ on its Find X9 model with a smaller display just as it may not approve of the ‘Find X8 Mini’ moniker.
Oppo launched two models under the Find X8 series last year i.e. Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Cut to now, the Chinese maker is poised to release two more devices under the same series dubbed as Find X8 (aka mini) and Find X8 Ultra coming to China next month. DCS took it to Weibo hinting at a 6.3” Find X8 without the ‘mini’ suffix, although he didn’t share the actual name to be used. Rather, he added that the vanilla version will simply have a smaller screen.
Apart from that, there will be a Find X9 Plus with a medium screen size, a Find X9 Pro with a large display, and finally, a Find X9 Ultra with the largest display in the series. For anyone who might have drawn parallels with the series, it is likely to pit against the iPhone 17 Series as aforementioned.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Find X9 series yet. There are reports suggesting the smallest display stands at 6.3”. There will be a dual periscope camera on the Ultra variant while a different leak suggests it might pack in a single 200MP periscope snapper.
Apart from that, Oppo Find X9 Series specs include a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC, once it is official, while other models could take on MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC under the hood. The series is said to arrive in October this year aligning with last year’s launch timeframe although stick to True-Tech to get real-time updates on the Oppo Find X9 Series.
