A little while ago, even before the release there were already rumors of the launch of a bigger HTC One M9. In that rumors it is called the HTC One M9+, and on the 8th of April HTC has an event in Beijing as you can see on the image.

The rumors from the past several weeks matches the circular camera that you can see on the picture above. Above the camera there would be a second depth sensor just like on the HTC One M8, but the two-tone color and brushed metal is something we have seen on the HTC One M9.

So, what are the leaks telling us about the specs for the device. A lot of leaks are showing us a 5.5 inch screen, only one leak shows a 5.2 inch screen. For the M9+ there is a solid chance that it will feature a Quad HD screen just like all the high-end devices, as the HTC One M9 only has a Full-HD display that would be a big change. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 won’t return in this device as it gave issues regarding overheating. As a result they have now chosen a high-end MediaTek chip, for the other specs the won’t be a change as there is nothing wrong with them.

One total new feature that will divide the HTC One M9+ from the other high-end devices is the fingerprint sensor. But is placed in a somehow awkward place in the middle of your Boom Sound speakers.

As the HTC One M9+ will be revealed in Beijing there is a solid chance that it won’t be sold outside of China.
