We are a day away from Realme’s next launch featuring Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro on scheduled August 20 but there’s no holding on the news related to its specifications till then. Realme 5 Pro has appeared on benchmarking site Geekbench a day before launch under the model number RMX1971 which showcases the initial benchmark scores on both single-core and multi-core tests.
Before Realme 5 Pro could make it to Geekbench, its younger sibling Realme 5 also made an entrance on the site sporting Snapdragon 665 SoC while the Realme 5 Pro is believed to sport Snapdragon 712 SoC, however, the recently listing doesn’t comply with it.
According to Realme 5 Pro Geekbench listing under model number RMX1971, the smartphones run on Android Pie 9 and it is powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC which doesn’t go in-line with the usual rumors. Furthermore, the tested unit has 8GB of RAM and reportedly scores 1,143 points on the single-core test and 4,618 points on the multi-core test.
Realme skipped ‘Realme 4 / 4 Pro’ since it is considered as a bad omen in China which led to the upcoming Realme 5 and 5 Pro. Realme 5 Pro has been long rumored to get the new Snapdragon 712 SoC based on recent teasers which means there could be some uncertainties in the Geekbench specs.
Apart from the processor, Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will get a quadruple-camera setup along with 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor along with three other sensors. This goes in-line with the reports that it will not get a 64MP sensor that was flaunted a few days ago. Let’s just wait till August 20 to try our hands on the new devices.
